None of those people actually owned a FL home.

There’s a Mansion (Compound actually) in Riverside Illinois of his design that was split up into individual homes some time in the 1950s that’s a total nightmare. Neat to look at and walk around but when there’s a problem? Forget it.

I forgot what the village calls the property. I’ll find it.

Also went to visit Fallingwater in middle school in the late 80s early 90s and couldn’t help but think “what a shithole.”

Whole sections of the property were cordoned off as hazardous

The Coonley Estate!

There is one large main house and then there are 3 smaller 1-2 bedroom houses attached to the property.

My god. I spent a week there mapping and correcting the sewers back in the 90s. The plumbing in the homes was even worse.

A lot of his stuff around here had similar issues. We helped restore one house where the owners were unable to use their front door and large front porch for 15 years. We did all the metal work in sheet copper with folded seams just as it was originally.
